Scooba 230 another robot joins the team

Von , 25. Juni 2011 07:32

Roomba has still strongly approved his postion in the team and today another robot arrives with DHL Express von iRobot US. The Scooba 230 is a floor washing robot and the perfect addition to the roomba which vacuum cleans the floor. Unfortunately the Scooba 230 wasn’t orderable in Germany until now and so I’ve to import it from the USA. Thanks to DHLs worldwide logistics the parcel arrives in just 5 days. And now after completly charged the floor washing may begin.

Personally I like these kind of stuff. My new one is the Android robot.

“Forknife” the Android G1 controlled robot

Von , 26. Januar 2009 14:41

“To see how well this idea worked I decided to build a small robot and a few applications to control it last weekend. The result of this is the Forknife Android G1 based robot, the RoboComm android application, and the RoboServ java server which I am happy to say work well. An overview of how the entire system works may be seen below.

In case others are interested in this, stuff, I have made my code for the robot, server, and android application available under the GPLv2 license. Please don’t get too upset with me if the code isn’t very polished.. I threw this together pretty quickly. At least I commented it! Be thankful :)

Automated window-cleaning robot – winboni

Von , 5. Dezember 2008 15:20

“A team of four engineering students from Michigan State University have created — and won an award for — an automated window cleaner that requires a human to do no more than push a button to get it started. Called the Winboni, the ‘bot runs off of AA batteries and adheres to the window using a suction fan, cleaning it with felt pads.”

AVRonics Simple Robot

Von , 1. Dezember 2008 13:19

“Now that the AVRonics board is in full swing it’s time to start stretching it’s legs. This is not the robot to do that but it’s a start. I threw this together in about an hour (after many months of thinking) and spent about 10 minutes writing the code to control it. No, no, I’m not just that good – it’s just that simple.”

Sparky – Autonomous Telepresence Robot

Von , 26. November 2008 11:31

“The name Sparky is based on an acronym for “Self Portrait Artifact – Roving Chassis I” an awkward title for an art project begun in the early 90’s. Since that time Sparky has evolved from an oversized RC toy with a couple of “baby monitor” video cameras into a fully web-enabled autonomous telepresence robot.

Simple bot v0.1 with Arduino

Von , 13. Mai 2008 11:29

Just a simple little robot controlled by an arduino board. The electonic is on a breadboard design, so adding sensors should be very easy. http://www.coded.be/en/node/39

Toll was mit Geldern von der DARPA alles entwickelt werden kann. Bestimmt gibt es auch viele zivile Anwendungen. Ich hätte da übrigens auch ein paar Projektideen, die noch finanziert werden müssten. ;-)

TeMo – Telerobotics over Mobile packet data services

Von , 4. Februar 2008 13:21

http://www.embisys.com/?page_id=10

“TeMo is a tele-operated mobile internet robot. While other internet robots mostly use WiFi (or a nearby PC with an internet connection), TeMo connects to the internet using Mobile packed data services (e.g. GPRS / EDGE / UMTS / HSDPA). The advantage is virtually unlimited mobility for the robot.”
