Rather than ordering online in the Apple store I bought my new gadget in real life at a Gravis store . It was a spontanously decision, because I see online that gravis had the 64GB wifi/3G model in stock at their stores. So up the city and no available parkingplace – grrr. After a roundtrip trough the city I managed to get a place and finaly 830 € later I’ve my IPad and a letter case from Networx, because of the lack of original leather cases from Apple – another grr. But my first impression of the case is quit good. It’s from the design point of view like some kind of a filoflex.
Personally I’m still unsure if I upgrade to the new iPhone, because I like to hold my phone in different ways. But the nokia article is very amusing.

Today the selling of the Apple iPad started in Germany. The units are very rare in the shops, so unfortunatly not everyone can buy one. So my spontaniously idea to order or buy one direct in the nearest Apple store in Hamburg was break through unavailability of a iPad for me. So the process of analyse the need for buying and owning that device starts. Ok the same process had happened with the iPhone before I decided to bought it. The really best benefit of the iDevices is the astronomical (just a image ) mass of Apps. Anyone with reallife experience and good advices ?

Heute morgen ist mir leider jemand beim rechts abbiegen hinten auf das Fahrzeug gefahren. Leider hatte der Verursacher seine KFZ-Versicherungsdaten nicht dabei und auswendig kannte er sie auch nicht. Ich habe diese Daten aber auch bisher nicht parat gehabt, was sich aber ab heute ändern wird. Insgesamt sieht der Schaden an der Stossstange eigentlich nur nach Lackschäden aus und der Kennzeichenhalter hat etwas mitbekommen. Aber den wirklichen Schaden kann halt nur die Werkstatt bewerten. Total praktisch und hilfreich war die Rufnummer des Zentralruf der Autoversicherer:

Dort sagt man kurz das Kennzeichen und den Schadenstag und man wird direkt mit der zuständigen Versicherung verbunden, die in meinem Fall sehr freundlich alle nötigen Daten notiert hat. Die mündliche Zusage zur Reparatur gab es dann auch gleich dazu. Ich hoffe das weiterhin alles so reibungslos verläuft und wirklich nur die Stossstange beschädigt ist.
Zumindest bekomme ich so die Möglichkeit den Service vom Volkswagen Zentrum Lübeck mal in so einer Situation zu testen. Beim Kauf des Autos und dem Wechsel der Sommer- auf Winterbreifung war ich bisher sehr zufrieden. Ärgerlich ist nur das so etwas 2 Tage vor dem Urlaub passieren muss.

Die Applicationen die zuerst meine Aufmerksamkeit erregten waren Kontakte und der App Store. Unter den Kontakten sind nun alle Kontakte von Outlook schön durchsuchbar angeordnet. Der App Store bietet den Download und Kauf von zusätzlichen Programmen aus Bereichen wie Wirtschaft, Bildung, Unterhaltung und einigen anderen mehr. Viele der Programme des App Store sind sogar kostenlos verfügbar. Witzig sind hier die vielen Versionen von “Taschenlampen”, die den Bildschirm mit einem weißen Hintergrund ausfüllen, was auch zum Test von Pixelfehlern nützlich sein kann.

Wählscheibentelefone sind wirklich Retro und damit schon per Defination ziemlich cool. Aus diesem Grund gibt es auch die passende Lösung für das iPhone. Allerdings wiedermal nur für jailbreaked iPhone’s.
Heute gegen 10.00 Uhr habe ich die aus welchen Gründen auch immer nochmal eine Aktivierung gewagt. Und diesmal hat es geklappt, da t-mobile anscheinend die Probleme mit der Aktivierung beheben konte. Ich hoffe das alle die ein ähnliches Problem hatten ebenfalls ihr iPhone aktivieren konnten.
Nachdem mein iPhone am 30.4. per DHL ausgeliefert wurde, zwei Tage nach der Auslieferung der SIM-Karte, versuchte ich das Gerät natürlich zu aktivieren. Dies war leider nicht von Erfolg, sondern wurde mit Fehlermeldungen wie “ihr Account kann nicht verifiziert werden” oder ähnlichen quittiert.
Also im Geschäftskundencenter angerufen und das Problem geschildert, dort dann die Auskunft das dies am Freitag wieder funktionieren sollte. Also heute fleissig ausprobiert, allerdings wieder ohne Erfolg aber mit der Fehlermeldung von oben. Wieder angerufen und die Aussage bekommen das T-Mobile zusammen mit Apple mit Hochdruck daran arbeitet das das Problem behoben wird. Dauern könnte das aber durchaus bis Montag.
Etwas zu denken gab mir aber folgende Seite , wo ein ganz anderes Datum (vorraussichtlich 07.05.2008) genannt wurde. Beim ersten iPhone in unserer Firma ging das sofort, mal schauen ob das wirklich so lange dauert.
Toll finde ich in diesem Zusammenhang, das man mit dem iPhone im nicht aktivierten Zustand so wirklich nichts anfangen kann. Im Moment hält es die Zettel auf dem Schreibtisch als Briefbeschwerer zusammen.
