Our Roomba 520 did a good job for over 4 years now. It still uses the first battery and performs quite well with it.
The only feature I’m missing is time scheduled cleaning. A convenience feature nothing more but nothing less even.
I would not give up the comfort of a Roomba according to my experience with the 520, bought just for testing its potentialities but convinced better than ever expected.
iRobot has a new vacuum cleaning robot, the Roomba 880 with its new cleaning technology ‘AeroForce Extractor’.
This should pick up to 50% more dirt according to iRobot.
The brush rotors are replaced with brushless ones, which shall reduce the maintenance needed to remove things like hair.
Especially pet owners will appreciate this faculty.

The AR.Drone from Parrot was my first smartphone controlled quadcopter.
Bebop the new drone from Parrot had some nice specifications on paper.
Runs on Linux and a SDK will be available for developers.
I haven’t post pictures of the unpacking of my iPad Air last year therefore the pictures of the Netgear WN1000RP hadn’t been posted too.
So now I was able to write a 3 month review of my expierence with the Netgear wifi range extender. The setup is as easy as it can be.
All parameters can be edited via a webpage and after a reset everything works fine without need of further assistence.

Compared with the Samsung Galaxy Gear the Omate TrueSmart looks less weighty in respect to the weight/feature ratio.

In my opinion the less important fact is the availability in six different strap colours, but maybe this fact is the essential argument for someone to buy one.
It’s not a stand alone device, although the hardware specifications (1.63-inch Super AMOLED display, custom built 800 Mhz processor, 1.9 megapixel camera, 4GB of built-in storage.) would provide enough power to do so.
The Galaxy Gear needs a connection to a Note 3 or Note 10, because that are the only devices that been supported at the moment.
The Android 4.3 update for Samsung mobiles enables the S4 to work with the Galaxy Gear.
The price will be about £200 which will be approximately 236,67 € (05.09.2013) when launched at the end of september.
